Villa Miami In Edgewater Selects General Contractor And Prepares For Groundbreaking

Villa Miami in Edgewater has had a relatively quiet year after the January unveiling of their glamorously chic sales gallery in Edgewater, and now we know why. The sales are streaming along and the development team has been hard at work on the logistics of the project.

This week, the development team that is a collaboration between David Martin’s Terra Group, Major Food Group and One Thousand Group released their choice of general contractor.

Moss Construction will be physically constructing the tower, which is a huge win for all parties. Moss comes with an expansive portfolio, having constructed local buildings that include Brickell Flatiron in the Financial District, the new Miami Dolphins training facility, Auberge Beach Residences & Spa in Fort Lauderdale, as well as 1010 Brickell and SLS Lux, also in the Financial District.

The CEO of Terra Group, David Martin, also released a statement on the choice, “We’re thrilled to work with Moss Construction on another landmark project. Villa Miami meets the demand for a condominium tower with full and half floor vertical residences in a boutique environment. Terra has a proven history of enriching neighborhoods across South Florida and Villa will do the same for Edgewater.”

About Villa Miami Residences

When completed, Villa Miami will reach 56-stories or 650 feet tall. With just 72 half and full-floor residences, it will be a true boutique project with a top level of luxury and privacy.

One of the things that I personally love the most about the project is that each partner offers their unique touch in order to create something truly magnificent.

Terra Group is amazing at building communities. They are a highly respected name in the Miami development world and their projects are always highly successful. Their past work includes Coconut Grove’s Park Grove, Grove at Grand Bay and the newly opened Mr. C Residences of Coconut Grove. They are also active on Miami Beach with Five Park, which is transforming a formerly blighted corner into a magnificent and activated park and tower that ties the South Beach and South of Fifth neighborhoods together.

One Thousand Group is famous for their design and architecture touch. You will recognize this in their previous work at Zaha Hadid’s One Thousand Museum in Downtown Miami. This building famously was constructed with a structural exoskeleton, which allowed for flow-through half and full-floor residences without the use of interior structural columns. This architectural style will also be incorporated into Villa Miami Residences in order to maximize the space and views of the residences.

To add an additional brush of character and an otherwise unattainable amenity, the infamous Major Food Group is going to make this project a foodie’s paradise. Not only will there be a Major Food Group-branded restaurant onsite, but the kitchens are outfitted by Mario Carbone himself. They have La CornuFe dual-fuel ranges with gas cooktops, convection ovens, even pasta cookers. Those who don’t wish to use their kitchen themselves, at-home chef services and also in home culinary classes are available. The culinary service transcends throughout the tower to the pool and lounge areas with hors d’oeuvres and juices when desired, as well as outside the residential tower with VIP service at any MFG establishment worldwide.

The interior design is being led by Vicky Charles of Charles & Co, who is known for helping Sony Music, Gweneth Paltrow’s Goop, Prince Harry and Meaghan Markle, Victoria Beckham and the George and Amal Clooney family.

Prices for Villa Miami begin at $4.5 million up to $30 million.
